What to expect when you arrive

First of all, this is a working ranch, so you can expect to see real cowboys doing real ranch work! You will also see real wildlife in real, untouched wilderness!!

What should you bring?

Good sturdy shoes. You don't need cowboy boots, but regular street shoes won't usually cut it. Absolutely no slip-ons. Good pants are also essential. Jeans are best. And above all, dress for the weather. Layers work best. Like everywhere else, the weather can change, so come prepared. We generally head out, rain or shine.

What else?

You should be aware that 16 years of age and under are required to wear a helmet. We can provide. All guests are required to sign a waiver upon arrival to the ranch.

This is bison and bear country!

Wildlife encounters are a fact of life at Sturgeon River Ranch. Whether we go to the wildlife, or the wildlife comes to us, care must always be taken. Follow the advice of our experienced guides and you will be certain to get the most out of your wildlife experience in a very safe manner.
