Check out www.bisonstewards.ca for information on this exciting conference held in Big River from June 8 to 10, 2010.
There were exciting speakers and participants from around the world coming to talk about wild bison and other sorts of unique wildlife like elephants, gorillas and caribou!
In July, 2008, Sturgeon River Ranch was very happy to host Bonterra Productions as they shot and episode for the upcoming Season 4 of Mantracker.
On June 6, 2009 we were very proud to host, with our friends at the Big River Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Saskatchewan Tourism Region, Mantracker himself as we screened this exciting episode with a Cowboy Ceilidh (pronounced Kay-lee) at the Big River Community Center.
On August 15 and 16, 2009 the episode finally aired on Outdoor Life Network. We feel very fortunate to have been part of this event.
Thanks to Ihor and everyone at Bonterra Productions, Terry Grant (aka; Mantracker), Jeanette and everyone at the Big River Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Saskatchewan, the Northern Saskatchewan Tourism Region, Celtic band "Back of the Bus", dance band "Gumby and the Pokeys", Third and Main Restaurant, Timberland Motel and the great people of Big River for everything you all did to make these events a big success.
Also, a big thank you to all of the great media that covered these events and helped put Big River on the map!
